Based on a new kind of chemistry the kit enables the isolation of RNA from FFPE samples without a deparaffinization step and thereby eliminates the use of toxic and hazardous components like octane or xylene. After only 1.5 h containing lysis, binding, washing and elution the whole extraction routine is finished. Thus the protocol allows the extraction of RNA with high quality, ideal integrity and excellent formaldehyde- RNA de-crosslinking.
